Pacetells

Pacetell manufactures digital speed displays, signs, and accessories with the aim of encouraging motorists to reduce their speed. They have been active since 2013, and Peter Skörvald, the innovator behind the company, had worked in the electronics industry for 30 years before starting the business.

Pacetell has been a customer of ours at NPP for the past few years, and we manufacture the enclosures that house their technology, as well as installing it. After that, we test the final product to ensure everything works. "NPP is very skilled with enclosures; you really know your stuff." says Peter Skörvald. He believes the collaboration with NPP works very well: "It's very practical to be able to hand over a simple sketch with the key functions and dimensions and then receive a great 3D drawing in return. NPP often comes up with their own suggestions for improvements and changes to our sketch, and we bounce ideas back and forth until we have a finished sketch for a good product. You are also very accommodating and flexible; for example, when we've had delivery issues, NPP resolves them, which is very reassuring to know.".

What's important to consider when purchasing enclosures for your operations, and what do they need to be able to handle?
" We need enclosures that are sealed; that's very important!" says Peter, continuing: "Since the enclosures are designed to be opened, the sealing is incredibly important, and NPP has a great machine for that.".

What's next?
"We're currently looking into a small roadside box that can collect statistics on vehicle speeds.".
